Paella in a big way

For years, we've been challenging corporate teams to compete in paella contests. It's a gastronomic team-building activity that foreign companies frequently request to energise their incentives and conventions.

However, on this occasion, we organised a massive paella for a local corporate group of 150 people. And although our staff were responsible for the cooking, we arranged with the client that the attendees would collaborate on the typical tasks involved in preparing this delicacy. Divided into groups with a leader, each group had a very specific task, including setting up the trestle tables and their paper tablecloths! All the group leaders regularly updated the organisation on their section. If any group fell behind, it was quickly compensated for with help from colleagues who switched groups.

In this way, we approached the food with a touch of teamwork. No competing, this time pure cooperation and coordination. And between us all, in just over two hours, we cooked about 60 portions of vegetable paella and 90 portions of meat. The final applause from everyone for everyone was brilliant. And there's nothing quite like working as a team.
