Spectacular and thrilling. Yesterday, a Swedish company experienced first-hand what it’s like to become a human tower-building team. I remember their initial bewilderment when we began negotiations months ago, yet we convinced them that we would succeed in awakening and developing within them the key values and skills required for teamwork. We also committed to fostering a sense of unity, both on a personal and group level. They threw themselves into it wholeheartedly and let us dress them up as castellers. As the activity unfolded, the group became increasingly cohesive, until they managed to form a team that cooperated to the full, with specific individual roles working simultaneously whilst focusing their efforts on a common goal. In the end, a very special bond was formed between everyone; they built a three-storey structure and the euphoria was spine-tingling. Congratulations to this Viking group on their success in this sensational team-building exercise.
