Team orientation

Taking advantage of the group of friends who are fans of the Game of Thrones series being in Girona, we travelled to Sant Gregori to organise a team orienteering competition to see who would pay for the last day's meal.

This municipality is an ideal area for hiking enthusiasts, a place full of routes to discover and a paradise of great historical wealth.

An orienteering course consists of a start, a finish, and checkpoints that are visible on the ground, although these checkpoints are unknown at the start of the race.

Participants are aided by a map and compass, and it should be noted that they can devise their own route to try and pass through the checkpoints in the shortest possible time, a strategy with the risk of making wrong decisions and handing victory to their rival.

In the end, it turned out to be a nice two-and-a-half-hour battle around a medium-difficulty course with inclines, featuring 10 control points or markers, and it was also a great, very friendly way to gamble on lunch.
