We hadn't organised this original route again since pre-pandemic times, and we're especially excited to have organised it again, as it's a fun, original and accessible outing for everyone.
An easy trek along the Camí Ral de Coll de Daví, in the Sant Llorenç del Munt i l’Obac Natural Park, one of the main arteries that connected Barcelona and Manresa in medieval times. Tales speak of the Route of the Bandits and of the most feared Catalan bandit of the era, Bandoler Capablanca. Legend has it that he only had to spread his cloak on the ground for his victims to deposit all their money and jewels.
So last week we organised a Family Day by carrying out this excursion with actors dressed in medieval period costume. A trek where the actors would suddenly appear out of nowhere and act out the daily life of the past, emphasising the historical importance of the route: dangerous and evil bandits, witches attending a coven, pilgrims trying to find the Camino de Santiago, and even a heroine who, sword in hand, saved the group from a fearsome villain.
