Drum rolls, drums and the beat that unites. The Big Samba School takes the team to the heart of Brazilian carnival: they learn to play samba percussion instruments in a workshop led by professional musicians.

In less than two hours, a group with no musical experience manages to create a live batucada that fills the space with energy and colour.

How does the Big Samba School work?

The professional musicians distribute the instruments — surdo, caixa, tamborim, agogô — and teach the rhythmic patterns for each. The group progressively learns them until everyone is playing together in a complete batucada that they can present at the end of the session.
