Creative in Action
Drum rolls, drums and the beat that unites. The Big Samba School takes the team to the heart of Brazilian carnival: they learn to play samba percussion instruments in a workshop led by professional musicians.
In less than two hours, a group with no musical experience manages to create a live batucada that fills the space with energy and colour.
An activity that works on collective rhythm, active listening, and the shared joy of making music together.
How does the Big Samba School work?
The professional musicians distribute the instruments — surdo, caixa, tamborim, agogô — and teach the rhythmic patterns for each. The group progressively learns them until everyone is playing together in a complete batucada that they can present at the end of the session.
What is this activity working on within the team?
Active listening, synchronicity, and the joy of creating something collective that sounds good. The samba rhythm is infectious and generates a state of positive energy that breaks down any barriers of inhibition or hierarchy.
What kind of company or team is it ideal for?
Teams of any profile seeking an energetic, joyful, and memorable experience. Especially recommended for events with a festive element or as a celebratory activity. No prior musical ability is required.
