Via Ferrata Cala del Molí

A small group of young people are celebrating a different kind of stag do with us. Last Monday, we tackled the Cala del Molí via ferrata in Sant Feliu de Guixols, one of the few in the world that runs alongside the sea.

At the time, we asked you to avoid weekends and holidays, as on festive days the place is more like Las Ramblas.

This is a horizontal itinerary equipped with various materials that allows safe access to areas that are difficult for hikers or those unaccustomed to climbing. Safety is ensured by a steel cable installed along the entire route, to which the participant is always anchored.

What makes it so special is that we progress above the sea, rounding rocky outcrops in a unique atmosphere.

It shouldn't be underestimated; it's somewhat difficult (K3) and includes 5 bridges, 3 Tibetan bridges, 1 Nepal bridge, and 1 log. The highlight is a slightly overhanging ascent leading to the exit of Cala del Molí, halfway through. Before that, there's an escape route to the left that returns to the start of the route, a good option for those who aren't sure.
