A gymkhana looking to the past

Last Tuesday we organised a gymkhana with a look back at the past, specifically at the tragedy of the civil war in Barcelona.

Divided into teams, the participants tried to find traces that persist in the city with the help of old photographs. Each snapshot led them to interact with local people, veteran guides whom we placed in the enclaves, recovering everyday stories and accounts told by our elders that should not be forgotten.

A historic gymkhana about the conflict in the old town streets themselves, where much of the fighting and bombing took place. A route taking in several of the locations where battles were fought, from the first barricades to the final confrontation at the Atarazanas barracks.
