Singing in the Rain

There are activities that become legendary precisely because they didn't go as planned. This is one of them.

We had planned an outdoor day in the Llobregat Delta. The weather, which hadn't read the brief, decided that day meant rain. Lots of rain.

We decided not to cancel. We adapted the tests, handed out ponchos and made the rain part of the activity. The group, who at first were looking at the sky with strained faces, ended up literally singing in the rain.

The lesson they took away couldn't have been planned: sometimes the best team moments are born from shared adversity.
