Effective networking

Yesterday was the first day of school and for some with new signings. One of our most cherished clients requested our help organising a networking event of just one hour with a generous group of salespeople.

“Buy, win, and meet” was the dynamic we designed to create a relaxed networking space, encouraging maximum interactions in a fun way. We formed 4 groups with people who already knew each other, and each person received 3 sweets of 3 different colours and a few tokens.

The participants freely approached attendees from other groups. When two participants met, they played a single game of rock, paper, scissors. The winner had the right to choose one action from the other participant: ask them for a sweet of the colour they were missing, ask them for a token, or take a photo together.

The quick “Rock, Paper, Scissors” was key to opening the maximum number of conversations, as the ultimate goal was to get 6 different coloured sweets, accumulate a total of 6 tokens, and have 4 photos taken with 4 different assistants.

There was a surprise prize for the early birds, however, the real objective was to create the maximum number of spontaneous interactions in a short time, breaking the ice and encouraging people to meet new faces.
