La Gola del Ter (13th May 2025)

We come here often, though less than we'd like. We always suggest La Gola del Ter when a company staying in the area wishes to carry out environmental volunteering, a protected natural area with an unspoilt beach at the mouth of the River Ter.

In this park, we offer various options for customers to feel satisfied with the effort they've made, from collecting waste on the beach and removing invasive species in the park, to planting native plant species.

It should be said that this last action is only feasible during the colder months, so that the reforested area has enough time to grow before the arrival of the summer heat.

Anyway, we use an innovative system, a sort of circular plastic plate that protects the plant from excessive heat during the day and retains moisture at night. The Groasis Waterboxx is a water tank and drip irrigation system that makes reforestation 80% more likely to survive.

Recently, we had the honour of contributing our bit by collecting waste on the beach, and shortly, we will be coming with a group of 90 people for the maintenance of the existing plants on the Gola del Ter dike.
