The adventure of flying

A balloon is an unpowered aerostatic aircraft that uses air currents to fly. As they have no means of propulsion, they are “carried along” by the air currents. For this reason, we know where we are departing from but never where we will land (which is why each balloon is followed by a logistics vehicle with a trailer). This is an essential part of the adventure we offer when we propose this activity.

And so it was. Last Wednesday, we flew with a company from Girona in Baix Empordà. One of the balloons ended up landing in a campsite that was closed. We had to contact the owners to ask them to open the gate for us (and apologise at the same time), and the other ended its route by evading crops and landing right in the middle of the forest track that separates the harvesting fields.

A suspenseful adventure that the participants knew how to enjoy.
