It caught me a bit when I was older, but my younger cousins had a great time with “Humor Amarillo” on TV; that's what this show was called back in a time when English wasn't widely spoken and humour was different.
I suppose, by the late 80s and throughout the 90s, modern consoles and computer games already existed, yet, children had a blast watching Japanese people stumbling about whilst trying to get through an assault course of dexterity tests where humour was fundamental.
“Run, jump, dodge without stopping... Yellow Humor until the end” so said the song in the Spanish version.
Well, we've been reminiscing about those laughs on a challenge circuit, and I must admit, we were impressed by how much the group wanted to have a good time. What a way to put shyness aside and jump into anything! Could it be the post-pandemic times? I can attest that there were some really good, hearty laughs and plenty of them.
By the way, we love this client, who every year prefers to incentivise their staff in the first days of term rather than take advantage of the week before Christmas. They like to start the year with a bang, and do the same thing every season. And as they say, there's no accounting for taste, so we're all set to bring their team together at this time of year.
