Last Tuesday one of our clients celebrated Christmas by carrying out our most warrior-like team-building activity. We divided the group into teams. Under the leadership of our instructors, we taught them a traditional Māori Haka. We immersed the room in a spiritual and moral stimulus of Māori battles, from back in the day when it was used to frighten and intimidate rival tribes. They learned and sang its traditional language while performing aggressive movements. Later, once the basics were learned, each team had to create their own Haka. A team effort with values such as leadership, camaraderie, trust in your teammates, and lots of fun.
Finally, we attended the interpretation of all the teams and recorded it to keep a wonderful souvenir. An activity where the participants felt like a powerful team, ready to face any challenge and confident of emerging victorious.
