New experience on the Camí de Ronda, that group we accompanied from Platja Castell (Palamós) to Calella de Palafrugell back in the day piqued the interest of this other client, and last week we took them on a short stretch, to see if little by little we can complete the Costa Brava coastline.
On this occasion, it was a German group staying at the Hotel Faro in San Sebastián, an establishment charming On a steep 175-metre cliff, a place that transmits the essence of Costa Brava.
The management team asked us to do a gentle walk, with a couple of stops to rest, have a dip, and grab some refreshments – something relaxed that would fill our morning.
So the excursion was short, of little difficulty, very relaxed, with few kilometres, the sea always to the right and the forest to the left, sharing the route with hardly any tourists as it was mid-week, and with impressive views. It was wonderful to stop every now and then and take a deep breath looking at the horizon, very peaceful.
Halfway there, we stopped at Cala Pedrosa to rest and cool down. A dip, some dried fruit, and we were off again, as the stones and rocks weren't exactly inviting for sunbathing. Further on, we had another leisurely swim in an area with fewer pebbles and easier access in and out of the water.
Finally, upon arriving at Tamariu, we had vermouth and lunch at the Hotel Hostalillo, with a terrace and spectacular views, but be warned, the minibus was waiting at the door to take us back by road, as not everything in life is about sweat.
