Pallars Sobirà

We are great fans of Pallars Sobirá, it has always seemed to us the land of adventure par excellence. Taking advantage of a business inspection trip, we descended the white waters of the Noguera Pallaresa again. It had been a very long time since we had done it and we had a lot of pent-up desire. We bought a waterproof case for our camera and recorded the descent.

I will never tire of this 15-kilometre route, the emblem of an area brimming with sporting and adventure activities, an exciting descent that creates great camaraderie among raft members, fostering a cohesion that is fundamental for teamwork under the leadership of the qualified instructor.

But Pallars Sobirà is not just about its white-water activities and the adventures they offer; this region is a true treat for nature lovers, with its high peaks, glacial lakes, wild fauna, and villages where time seems to have stood still. It's a natural paradise that has benefited from a low population density. Furthermore, along with the Catalan regions of Alta Ribagorça, Pallars Jussà, and Val d’Aran, it shares Catalonia's only national park: Aigüestortes i Estany de Sant Maurici. 

Ah, and the food is wonderful!…
