And this time, we've nailed it. We had to get up early, but it was worth it. Imagine a horse ride along the beach of L'Estartit, with the Medes Islands in the background, ideal for doing during low season when there are no other users on the beach.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mentions-texteditor__content\" style=\"text-align:justify\">This is about the Baix Empord\u00e0 region, within the Montgr\u00ed \u2013 Illes Medes and Baix Ter Natural Park, a unique and special place where a diversity of landscapes converge. We are at the mouth of the Ter River (the \u201cGola del riu\u201d), separated from the central part of the town by a wetland area. The riverbank leaves behind a plain of great beauty, full of crops, fauna, dunes, and native vegetation.
